51st Winter Carnival

Welcome to the Vernon Pigeon and Poultry Club’s 51st WINTER CARNIVAL SHOW featuring Pigeons, Poultry, and Bantam Waterfowl. The show was held on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 9th, 2020 at the VERNON RECREATION CENTRE AUDITORIUM.

WINTER CARNIVAL SHOW REPORT We hosted our February Show as part of Vernon’s Winter Carnival 60th Anniversary Celebration.  It was held on Sunday, February 9th, in the Recreation Center auditorium.  It was a small show with poultry entries that numbered just over 100 and about the same for pigeons in the show.  Brian Krog, a local fancier, judged the pigeons and Heather Hayes judged the poultry.  This was the 51st time we had participated in the Vernon Winter Carnival’s 60 year history! The Carnival theme featured the 1960’s and a good number of our club volunteers dressed for the occasion!  The one day show featured the birds, a rooster crowing competition, chick holding station, a local band, and a well stocked concession. We were also delighted to have a large number of Juniors enter their birds. All in all, it was a fun day for those who participated. Many thankyous to ALL who planned,helped set up and take down, contributed to prize money,judged, and who exhibited birds. We couldn’t have done it without you!!!
